In Promoted Tweets or Sponsored Tweets, you, as the Twitter account owner, is completely responsible for tweeting out the advertising message to your followers. Twitter will prevent these 3rd party ad networks from injecting their own advertising in anyone’s timeline, since they may not conform to the excellent user experience that Twitter tries to provide it’s users.
Twitter also announced that it is looking into ways to improve both the services & tools available to both advertisers & publishers (Twitter users) to create a more efficient system of marketing & monetization.
